How does a battery isolator work?
It is used to isolate the primary and auxiliary batteries in a system while the auxiliary battery is being charged due to dual sensing technology. Most importantly, it warns the user of unexpected faults such as over-voltage, voltage drop, and excessive current draw conditions all because of its sophisticated fault detection and LED indication feature.

1. How will you know if it’s preventing your main battery from overcharging?
Since this technology is “SMART”, once the charging amperage fills the primary battery to a level of 13.4 V, it will automatically connect and allow the charging amps to be shared with the secondary battery. Our battery isolator technology is in no way of regulating the AMPS being distributed or produced. It is done by your automotive voltage regulator and alternator or stator.
2. How long does these battery isolators last? One, two, or three years and more?
My co-worker who is an electrical/mechanical engineer recommended it to me and I trust him because I have known him for over twenty years already. He told me that he uses the Smart Battery Isolators for his full-size van. He said he had no problems with it and he’s been using it for two years. I took his word and I’m currently adding it to my schematics. What I did was I wired it in my control board along with my Solar panel controller and fuse box.
